The work cuptures the rise of terrorist movements involving families. studies family involvement in acts terrorism Indonesia have not much been done. is based on research conducted Kampung Beting Pontianak City, which stigmatized as a drug trafficking village. It explores parenting patterns and responses to live problems especially community literacy about religious radicalism. findings include, first, pattern instilling values families relatively vulnerable. Family parentings shown physical resilience, social resilience psychological resilience. finds important roles parents building communication with their children ability solve they face. Education has found very within community. Second, regard existing conditions, people choose “make peace” reality. attitude split from pessimistic, pragmatic optimistic. Third, public radicalism quite good among ordinary leaders. Being radical society’s point view an act violence, while adhering principles considered being radical. Defending honor religion matter principle, thus encouraging them fight. Fourth, four factors fortifying include open straightforward community, into city security network, high mechanical solidarity effective role leaders fostering society.
